On to Toulouse

Again up early and went out for a wander. It's not hard to enjoy walking around this French village. Later this morning we are sadly leaving Souillac so Barbie and I go and say goodbye to my friendly cafe owner and have our final petit cafe.

Easy drive to Toulouse and after checking in to great hotel we go walking and discover Toulose is a beautiful city. The bridge, Pont Neuf is particularly unusual and the buildings adjoining the river look great. There is a drop in the river level and so a type of weir/waterfall goes across.

I was separated from the others and ended up in an exposition on hydro-electric and nuclear power as well as art in a big building next to the weir.

As well as the displays there was music - a jazz trio - so all in all pretty cool.

We have noted the set up temporary plages (beaches) all over Toulouse and other places - pretty weird actually. The put umbrellas, lounge chairs etc and call it a plage. I ended up at one with spanish music and everyone was doing flamenco - so fun...
